Nicole Jarrett Alvarado is an independent photojournalist based in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up living a semi nomadic life as the child of an Air Force father, this opened her eyes to many different cultures, people, and places. She learned her love of photography from her mother during these travels. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a Bachelors degree in Photojournalism. Since graduation she has worked at newspapers, taken freelance jobs and started her own photography business.
Nicole is a proud member of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) and is on the board of the Northern Short Course in Photojournalism (NSC). Nicole also served two years as President and one year as Secretary of the RIT NPPA Student Chapter.
Now residing in Saint Louis, Missouri she is available for assignments in the U.S. and abroad.
